Show 20 installation method and a means of providing 8: 1 system turndown in the single burner system. Both concerns have now been addressed. • Demonstration in a steam methane reformer owned and operated by Air Products and Chemicals is planned for 1995. The host site has been identified and baseline performance tests of the existing burner system have been completed. After burner installation, initial performance tests will be followed by 6 months of operation. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS The ARCS project and Pyrocore HT development work are being done with support from the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Industrial Technologies, under Contract Number DE-AC02-89CE40918. Air Products and Chemicals, Incorporated is providing the host reformer for field demonstration as well as analysis, design, and testing support. The RCB demonstration at the UCI Medical Center was funded by the California Energy Commission, Southern California Gas Company, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Southern California Edison, Zurn Industries, and Alzeta.
