Show ments is the CO concentration, most likely due to uncertainty in the entrainment rate for the merged jet exiting the quarl into the chamber. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS This work is supported by the Gas Research Institute under technical direction of R. V. Serauskas and J. A. Kezerle, and by the Department of Energy. We thank C. F. Edwards and N. R. Fornaciari for useful discussions of the experiments. REFERENCES 1. Broadwell, J. E. and Breidenthal, R. : J. Fluid Mech. 125,397 (1982) 2. Broadwell, J.
