He reads magazines for ads. Mr. Mote receives relaxation from reading bed-time stories to his children. Very punctual, retiring at 10:30 p. m. and arising at 7:00 a. m. daily, he wears only meticulously pressed and meticulously cleaned shirts. Clka.Ltma.n Retiring this year as professor of chemistry, seventy-year old Dr. J. C. Thomas-who "doesn't feel a day over fifty"-will retain his job as Eligibility Chairman. Instead of riding horses, shooting ducks, and herding cattle as he used to do, he now reads magazines in the evenings while munching an apple. He and his wife are a formidable bridge team. Kutetzu Idol of every graduating senior is Herald Carlston, who is the constant recipient of "can you find me a job?" An immaculate person, Mr. Carlston wears quality clothes, will not wear loud socks, and abhores fickle girls chewing gum. He enjoys good food, plays an excellent game of tennis, and takes candid photographs. He is a former Utonian Editor and A. S. U. U. Treasurer. 34 |
