Description The National Science Foundation Science and Technology Center for Coastal Margin Observation and Prediction (CMPO) is a multi-institutional center dedicated to coastal margins, which are regions consisting of very productive ecosystems that play an important role in global elemental cycles. CMPO maintains the Science and Technology University Research Network (SATURN) observatory, a network of heterogeneous observation platforms coupled with large-scale simulation models of ocean circulation. Each of these platforms consist of multiple sensors, which have the potential to generate over a million measurements in the course of a couple of days.
