Blues Claro

Blues en el Coraz?n is a set of three piano pieces connected by the use of a simple blues scale. The scale is used as the basis for all the material in the pieces and it is used both as a generator of surface motives, as in the second piece, and as source material for the harmonic background of all the pieces. Pedal markings should be adhered to fairly strictly. Where ?poco pedale? is indicated, the pianist is expected to use the pedal as an aid to conveying the phrasing of the passage. The pedal may be used in passages where it is not indicated at all, as long as the resulting sound is dry.
