Description Poster presented at the Medical Library Association annual meeting in 2006. To address the needs of a specialized medical community, the Eccles Health Sciences Library partnered with the North American Neuro-ophthalmology Society to build a virtual library in Neuro-Ophthalmology and update and standardize the Neuro-ophthalmology curriculum outline. In the spring of 2003, the National Library of Medicine awarded a grant to support development of a Neuro-ophthalmology virtual library. Transforming Neuro-ophthalmology teaching materials from their native formats into a virtual environment and disseminating these materials in a meaningful way, required the outline of a standardized pedagogy that provides faculty with a coherent framework for using the resource and clarify for students the competencies required in the discipline. The Neuro-Ophthalmology Curriculum outline provides the framework for the digital library.
