Title 39222000091012_045
Date 1943-05-27
Description It is very warm and dusty today. There is a big flood in the mid-western states along the Mississippi River. If the dykes should break many cities will be in great danger. We wrote a thank you letter to Miss Anderson's class today. They had invited us to their operetta, The Land of Happy Hearts. Bobby's little sister snipped her own hair, just to be naughty. She looks funny now. A lady passed away in Mae's block. She had been ill for a long time. Jackie's mother went to Delta and bought Jackie a new boat. He brought it to school today.
