The First Rourrl of SITE Daronstrations In 1986, EPA issued its first request for projects to be deralstrated under the SITE program. A selection of projects has been made. The Agency is DOlI arranging for suitable locations to carry out the deralstration projects arxi is neg:>tiating terIIs am conditions with the project developers. A second rEQUest for projects was issued in January 1987 aIXl 25 proposals have been received. Resl;XJIlSeS to the solicitations are currently being evaluated and a second set of projects will be added to the program. The ranainder of this section will describe the initial projects selected. In general, these represent a wide range of technologies capable of treat- \ ~ both organic and inorganic wastes. SUccessful daionstration of these 3 |
