Show Development of an International Flame Research Foundation Workino Group On Waste Incineration by K J Knill and R Collin To be presented at the AFRC Fall Meeting November 2-4 1987 Palm Springs, California Abstract In 1985, the Joint Committee of the IFRF agreed that a greater emphasis should be given to collaborate research in the field of waste incineration. A questionnaire was distributed to members asking for their interest in waste incineration and the need for an IFRF Working Group in this field. Based on the responses, a Working Group was established with the inaugural meeting held in April 1987. Representatives from the academic and industrial communities in E~gland, Sweden, Federal Republic of Germany and the Netherlands formulated the objectives of the · Working Group. The Working Group will prepare a review of research requirements in waste incineration technology. The review will concentrate on research related · to waste combustion characteristics, flame properties and emissions, incillerator design and operation. Industrial and residential waste incineration technology would be treated separately. It is planned that the review will be completed by June 1988 to coincide with planning ·of research activities for the 1989-1991 research triennial. |
