Show #31, p. 3 11:00 a.m. for the service. Fortunately we have Father Liebler's Jeep back from the repair man now, so things are picking up again. One of the best areas for members is about 12 miles to the south over bad roads, and I doubt if anybody with babies or small children should be expected to walk that (although I have done it - when the car gave uP!) Some of my friends say t "You seem t o think that getting the people to the church for Nass is the most important part of your job." That is right, unless the missionaries are young enough to travel all week to different camps and take the Mass to the people, with teaching and instruction for all ages. That is a very tough job, as we know from nearly 40 years' experience. If it had not been for gifted and generous friends like Bill Briggs of Truck Durango and helpful neighbors who have saved us from real disaster in a strange land we might not have survived this long. 118.y God bless our thousands of helpers. Hello, there ••.• from Joan •..• Well, first of all, forgive me again ••• six months wi thout a Message,! I just find that keeping up the mailing list and bookkeeping chores take a great deal of time that I can ill spare, so I often end up by doing them at night. Once upon a time I could burn the candle at both ends, but no longer I fear. So I get badly behind on desk work, and am grateful for this holiday in Mi ami , where I can get caught u:p ,a bitt The wedding and the ordinat i on were beautiful occasi ons for rejoicing. Dr Bob Liebler (Dt1D) and his lovely wife Janice were married at S t I'1a t thew's Episcopal Church; Father Liebler rec ~l¥ed their vows and, graciously assisted by the Rector, Father Birk Stathers, celebrated the Holy Eucharist. The ordination to the Diaconate took place m Trinity Cathedral, where Fa ther preached a short, but very mean - -",+,,,,,t%""".,., ingful sermon to the three ordinands. The Rev. John S.Liebler will be curate at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tequesta, FL 33458 (I put the address in because I'm sure many of Th~ Rev. H.B. Liebler's old friends will want to send their good wishes to his grandson!). His ordination to the priesthood will most likely take place early in December. Praise God for His wonderful partners in healing! We expect to be back home by the end of June. This is the first time in many years that Father has had a holiday free from concern for the spiritual well-being of his congreg.&tion in Navajoland, n9w that Father Edmonson is in charge of the mission work. Please keep him in your prayers - it is a far cry from being Vicar of a town or city parish to being Vicar of what is to all intents and purpo ~es a foreign mission! A happy summer to all you dear friends •••• and, be the good Lord will in , and there aren't too many address corrections after all this time, you should be hearing from us altain in September!
