Show Our School In the last issue of the ewsletter we tried to capture the essence of twenty years' work. ow at th e end of our Anniversary Year of Celebration we bring you up-to-date with scenes from our new school, Anniversary Day and recent improvements. But pi ctures fail to capture the vigor and enthusiasm which is so enco uraging. A choir here at the Mission of thirty - acolytes serving at the altar here and at each of four monthly outstation Mas es-full churches in the areas where we can co ngregate in one place-St. Christopher's Club of teen-agers serving th eir own avajo Supper to over 100 people-the school Halloween costume party, Thanksgiving Play and Christmas Pageant coming up - yo uthful additions to s taff fixing things, cleanin'g up and enjo ying th eir work! Sally Frese, Teacher Once again the cover of our ewsle tter is our Christmas card to you. The desert scene shows that Our Lord was Very God made Very Man for all men. Greetings to all from our taff and people and thanks so much for your gifts, co ntribution and prayer s. Any Christma rem embrance that co uld be shared with our people would be most welcome. Travel expe nses and food tuffs are needed; particularly we invite donations' from those who find that th eir income tax needs ad justi ng before that year- end deadline. Some good friends send donations to the Mission in tead of At Play Christmas gifts, notifying the recipients and a king them to do the same. Others have funeral offerings sent here and both departed and contributor are r emembered at our altar. Our special Christmas message will be found on the final page. The Navajo religion i a goo d r eli gion-it teaches harmony with nature (walking in the b eautiful way) and asks its gods for the things man needs-rain , good crops and good health. But the classic period is now over; th ere are no young medicine men. The young men and women At lunch do not remember the old legends and stori es unless they read th em in a book. Only the Catholic faith with it drama, action, mys tery, realitv, love, peace and good will is sufficient to fulfill the needs of the avajo and of all men. We must all pray that we may be li\ in g examples of this Holy Heritage; our prayers join yo urs that we rna)' be yo ur working hands he re as you co ntinue to provide.
