Sir: Referring to your letter of Bay 26. 1911, in regard to the applications of Edward and Frank Burdock for onrollrncnt with the In6.ians of the reservation under your chargo, you ar© advised that it appears from tho papers with the correspondence that these cases have not boon resubmitted to a general council of the Indians of the reserve, and that Albert Burdock, an uncle of the applicants, fails to mako a full statement of his knowledge of the capture, rnarriago, Indian blood, etc. of thoir mother. The evidence in the case is returned herov/ith so that you may submit it with the additional cvidonco indicated from Albert idardock to the next mooting of the tribal council, in order that tke membors thereof may rc-considor these applications in the light of the additional evidenco, and may express their views with referenco thoroto. |
