I have failed to make mention of the fact that the Uintah Railroad Company is ready to purcha.se all of our allotted lands along the White River as desert lands at ^10.00 per acre, and these aro the vory lands to which Chipeta. is referring. The Chief Engineer of this company and the Superintend.ent of the company have both, told me personal :y that they are able to construct all ditches necessary for these lands at a total cost of not to er-.ceed ylO.OO per ay re. Our engineers, I believe, estimate the cost somewhat higher, but whatever the coat, the .-ork should be started at-cone and completed, as soon as possible.
