Show to have but little confidence in anything the Mormon people say to them and decidedly stand in much fear of them and from all the information I could gather not without good cause I am decidedly of opinion that a treaty held of all the different Tribes in the Territory would be of incalculable benefit, and that a Delegation sent to Washington, and through the state would add much to give them an Idea of the Power of the Government and have a much greater tendency to civilize these Indians than any other Course, that could be adopted, they have no conception of the population and power of the United States- Christian Mission's other than Mormons would also do much to advance these Indians towards civilization I am Washington City, D.C.
