Show having both Forest Reserve i- rA. ; niL- i* v ^-•.- -„ _ . family that difficulties will arise in raking allotments that will be to the best interests of the Indiano. It is therefore desirable that the forest lands occupied by the Indians be restored under the public land lawa so that all the allotments can be * filed ao public domain allotment applications. This land has no value for the timber on it. It is not claimed by any rancher as a grazing unit. The Forest Ranger in charge states that there will be no objection to having the lands eliminated, and he states that he will recommend that they be eliminated. It is therefore my recommendation that the Office take action to have sections ( unsurveyed) 17, 1S, 19, 20, 29, JO, ? 1 and 52 in township'J5 south, range 21 east, and sections 1J, 24, 25 and 56 in township 55 south, range 20 east, also the N. 1/ 2 of section 6, township J> 6 south, range 21 east, and N 1/ 2 section 1, township eqc 56 south, range 20 east, S. L. M. eliminated from the forest and restored to entry. If for £& 2X any reason the Office beleives that these lands cannot be restored to entry I request that I be supplied with fifty forms 5- 149 for filing* allotments within a National Forest under Section J1 of the Act of June 2^, 1910 ( 36 Stat. L. 855 )• In any event several weeks will be required to make some, surveys before any application can be filed. Respectfully, Special Allotting Agent. |
