Description |
On September 4, 1902, seven buildings on State Street were destroyed by fire. All that wa saved was the Shelley Merchantile and the furniture store on the right. By 1903, a few of the business houses had been replaced, including the Tim Kearney block. It still stands with HOSPITAL written at the top.; The photo of Shelley at the top was taken by Bell Brothers, Havre, Montana, from the top of these grain elevators, in June 1919. These have also been destroyed by fire. |
