| Title | The effect of information on confidence and participation in outdoor recreation |
| Date | 2020 |
| Description | Southeast Florida is a densely urbanized area. There are very few outdoor recreation areas with limited opportunities due to the large amount of urbanization of the area. Additionally, there has traditionally been a gender disparity in participation in outdoor recreation. This project is based on a three day camp focused on outdoor education. The goal was to determine whether educating adolescent girls in South Florida about the outdoors makes them more confident in their skills in the outdoors and if it makes more likely to participate in outdoor recreation. |
