Title A telechelic polymer solution for a multi-fit screen protector
Date 2020
Description Currently, there is a large problem with the technology gap between curved cell phone screens and screen protectors. No screen protector on the market today can effectively cover the curved portion of a phone screen without altering the visual qualities of the screen or adding extra adhesive to the edges. The proposed solution is a telechelic polymer screen protector that could allow for a two-step polymerization process. A flexible, thin film was made then laid directly onto a phone screen to complete a second polymerization, bonding directly to all surfaces then hardening. Though this telechelic polymer was made, characterization was not completed. A plan has been proposed for future research which includes obtaining objective data which can then be analyzed to determine the relative success of the samples made.
