Description |
"Cold Light" is a very old subject. For .more than 2000 years it has excited the minds of curious men. Pliny knew various luminous minerals. Aristotle described bio-luminescence. Joseph Priestley made extensive studies in the entire field of luminescence early in the 18th century. One hundred and seventy years ago the English scientist, Canton, artificially prepared luminescent calcium sulphide by grinding oyster shells with sulphur. |
