Show COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY ) The League of Women Voters is now represented on the Board of Trustees of the Community Action Ag·e ncy. Kathy Fitzgerald attended her first CAA Board meeting on September 12, and learned that CAP is in the midst of a crisis generated by the shifting of funds from the OEO to revenue sharing·. Local CAA~ are faced with the choice of remaining private nonprofit corporations and raising their own funds, or ugoing· publicvv and appiying to loca governw.ent agencies for revenue sharing· funds to conduct their prog·rams. Either choice will mean a drastic change in the operations and power exercised by the local CAA. Although the pressure is to go public, the question is still under consideration. Kathy has been assigned to the Planning· and Evaluations Committee of the Board. --Kathy Fitzgerald Human Resources Committee PREPARE FOR CAMPAIGN FINANCING The resource materials for the campaign finance study are already in members: bands.
