Description This project is the product of a Whiting Public Engagement Seed Grant awarded to Westminster University professor Dr. Xiumei Pu to create a series about members from the Salt Lake Valley Asian and Pacific Islander communities. This documentary consists of twelve interviews that "weave together Asian mountain folktales and the storytellers' experiences living in mountain environments in Asia and the United States." It was also accompanied by a twelve-part podcast series. (Description partially taken from Whiting Public Engagement Seed Grant project overview.) Featured storytellers are Obaid Barakzai, Emilio Manuel Camu, Catherine Figiel, Jake Fitisemanu Jr., Prashanti Limbu, Nikki Navio, Kevin Nguyen, O. Fahina Tavake-Pasi, Kripa Thapa, Ze Min Xiao, Anda Xie, and Margaret Yee. This documentary was screened as part of Westminster University's Community Hour on September 19, 2023.
