Honeycomb: An updated symbol for "The Beehive State". It speaks to our industry, order, and unity. It represents our sense of community and a future of working together. The honeycomb represents the importance of the symbolism of the hive to our pioneer heritage and the six-sided shape also points to the six Native American tribes of Utah. Snowy Mountain Peak: Symbol of Utah's drive to achieve new heights, overcome challenges, and closeness to Deity. It is also a symbol of the greatest snow on earth. The Orange Arch: A symbol of a bridge between the many diverse cultures that call Utah home, adventure, and strength. It is also a symbol of our beautiful southern red rock landscape and recreation. Blue Water: A symbol of life, prosperity, and of past and present pioneers crossing oceans and skies from around the world to come to Utah. The light blue is also a symbol of our many water features, including the famous Great Salt Lake. The slightly updated dark blue encompassing the entire flag is also a nod to our old flag. We're embracing the future without forgetting the past.
