If you look at the flag, from top to bottom you will notice the mountains at the top, representing the mountains associated with the north part of the state. At the bottom is canyon country which is associated with the southern part of the state. Looking at the bottom, if you work you way from left to right, you will notice distinct features of our state. on the left or west, you have zion NP. as you work your way right or east, you will see bryce hoodoos, to arches, and then to 4 corners area and monument valley. in the middle is the beehive that the state has used before and for years. Along with a star that is associated with our state star that would be 1 of 50 on the american flag. Navy blue is often related to our nation and brings in our old state flag color. Went with orange for the bottom because its unique and represents the rock color. White at the top to show the mountains and the snow that would be at the top of our mountains. as a print designer in apparel, i used simple shapes that should have no issue being replicated in stitching, patches, screen print, or any other type of apparel applications. As well as letterheads, watermarks, and official paperwork.
