Description "Simple bi-color, orange below representing the red rock of southern Utah with white above representing the Greatest Snow on Earth and the salt of the Great Salt Lake and Bonneville Salt Flats. Orange also symbolizes the determination of Utahns of all stripes, and white communicates empowerment to Utahns. A traditional Ute design lies along the hoist to anchor Utah to the people who came here first and where we get our name. We can't erase the things we've done in the past, but recognizing the parts of Utah that are often ignored is an important way to move forward. The Aspen leaf is an ode to Pando, the world's largest organism, which resides in the Fish Lake National Forest. It also represents the deep ties Utahns feel to the outdoors"
