Description The Chevron and GNC Energy Corporation's Sunny side Tar Sands Project will produce 34,675 barrels per operating day of 35°API gravity synthetic crude oil from 37 million tons per year of tar sands ore with an average bitumen content of 8.2 weight percent. The project was described on page 3-1 of the December 1982 issue of Pace Synthetic Fuels Report. The December article describes the project planning and shows the proposed plant site. The process flowsheet is also included. The article in this issue covers the mine area and upgrading scheme.
