Title |
The impact of the intermountain power project on six counties in Utah |
Description |
What will happen to the Utah economy when the largest industrial complex ever built in Utah is located in a sparasely populated rural area? The project in question is the four billion dollar Intermountain Power Project (IPP), a 3,000 megawatt, coal-fired electric power plant to provide electric power for cities in California, for publicly owned electrical systems in Utah and for Utah Power and Light Company. This project is widely expected to be approved soon for construction at Lynndyl, Utah, a community located in Millard County approximately 20 miles from Delta, Utah. |
