Nitrogen CARS spectrum in coal-seeded flame. The solid line is the experimental spectrum, and the dashed line is the theoretical fit. The laser pulse energies were 30 mJ total pump, 1 mJ Stokes. The fitted temperature is 1790 K. The coal used was a classified Kentucky bituminous with particle sizes between 50 and 70 microns. The coal feed rate was approximately 1 g/min. |
