Attended SoS at 10 a,m, where I presided, after school held teachers meeting where more teachers was sustained and lesson & classes assigned. At 2 p.rn, attended meeting where J .E.Ashcrort F ,G. Nielson and S.ELewis were the speakers. At home rest of day reading writing and entertaining visitors. 16 Monday Got team ready, loaded up wagon with 125 lbs graham 55 Ibs corn meal, horse feed, food & bedding. At 8 a.a, left home with team Maje & Mary for Bluewater by wa:y of Wingate. The children that is Fred, Libbie, Vera & Maida were to start to school today to Hattie Davis, teacher at 30.00 pr.mo. I drove all day and camped mile near Wingate. Snow 18 in. deep. 17 Tuesday Drove into Wingate. Got some sacks & wire. Tried to buy some rice, soap &c. but could not. Drove on to Cool idge where I nooned and traded alittle with Newman & Johnson. Drove on past Michel & Chaves and late camped within l mile of Baca. .. - - - 18 Wednesday"" Drove on to Bluewater arriving about 11 a.n. found all well except folks ailing with colds & cough. Unloaded attended to stock and conversed &c. 19 Thursday Attended to stock. Hauled a load of pine wood. Laid down in afternoon. Wrote and read sane. 20 Friday Attended to stock. Settled up cash acct. on hey to date with E.A. Tietjen. Saw donations to B. Y. monument and him, T.J.McNiel and others about subscribers for Church Chronology, Took team and went to Sec. 22, husked sane corn and brought back a load of corn fodder. Wrote a number of letters in evening. Children sick with colds and up with them sane. 21 Saturda:y Attended to stock, chopped wood. Went to Sec, and saw Section foreman about selling him pork but he wanted it to cheap. Hitched up team went to Sec. 22 out com and brought a load of fodder back, unloaded and attended to stock. Wrote in - - - husk 22 evening, Sunday Attended to stock. Head and studied in Bible. Attended SoSQ in morntng, Meeting in afternoon. - Conversed, |
