Title Flightcontroller
Date 2019
Description It typically requires a team to put on live planetarium presentations. The OpenSpace FlightController was designed to meet the needs of the American Museum of Natural History in New York and the Link¨oping University Visualization Center C by allowing a presenter to control auditorium visualization software without the need for an additional pilot. This mobile application provides a navigation system for both cosmological and planetary exploration with a single interface. It runs on a small, handheld display, such as a smartphone, mixing familiar and novel uses of touch, accelerometer, and haptic events. Interviews and testing with the key stakeholders confirm that the design provides an intuitive, customizable experience that fits the needs of a presenter.
