Description Second of two sketches on Plate 217 from near the Neversink Campground looking in the opposite direction as the one previous. Drawn by Richard H. Kern at "Camp 57" on September 7, 1853, and looking downstream into terrain where the Gunnison expedition would march that day. Blue Mesa is seen in the center on the horizon.
