From left to right, Dr. John L. Owen (coordinator of Civil Defense, USU), Victor "Vic" Wilkins (Uintah County Commission chairman), Rulon Buck (assistant coordinator of Civil Defense, USU), Hyrum Slaugh (commissioner), and Bert L. Angus (commissioner) gathered in the commissioner's room in the Civil Defense fall-out shelter as part of an EOTS exercise. It was the second exercise in 3 years and lasted two and a half hours. The drill was to train the elected and appointed city and county officials in case of a nuclear or national emergency. |
