Notes about relations between Native Americans and Latter-day Saints. Contains transcribed copy of "Samuel L. Adams Account of the Exploring for a Road from St. George to the Grand Gulch Mine: A Night of Horror". Also includes a copy of Native American folklore, copied from the handwritten manuscripts of Tony Tillchash and owned by Ambrose M. Cannon (caretaker in charge of the Shivwit Reservation in Washington County, Utah), which he loaned to Mabel Jarvis in May 1936. The copy was completed October 8, 1936 by Mabel Jarvis of the Utah State Historical Records Survey Project of the Works Progress Administration of St. George, Utah. |
