Show Let's Put On A Skit Page 6 a string and a rope. What about the baby's bottle? Now you see how even a short, simple skit can mean getting a lot of material together. Imagine how difficult it would be for a very long skit. Now, let's get back to your Wolf book. Part of your award includes costumes. Think of the skits we have just discussed. Who needed a costume? The barber, the hippie, the pirates, the magician and the baby. You can easily imagine what they will wear. An apron, beads, cut off pants, a top hat and cape. Who do you think might wear a diaper and a bonnet? See how easy it can be? These were all ideas that other cub scouts have used. The best ideas are the ones in your own head. The ones that use your own imagination. In your Bear book, you will find ideas for magic tricks, masks and homemade musical instruments that will give you more ideas. But whether you are making scientists in mad costumes with crazy experiments, or hillbillys playing instuments made from wash tubs and scrub boards remember to follow the rules. Keep it short. Keep it simple. Write it down. Practice. But most important, have a good time! |
