Show The only feature lost from the original system is the flame shift and frequency diagnostics data which was primarily of use during burner commissioning and set up. These features are now available on a laptop P C based system which can be used on the boiler front for full diagnostics during commissioning of a new plant and the initial setup of the low N O x burners. INTRODUCTION For many years the Land Flamescan was the most technically sophisticated, commercially available flame monitoring system. The combined flicker frequency and cross-correllation system was based on development in the mid 70's with the U K Central Electricity Generating Board. This combined system became accepted as the industry standard in many areas (e.g. UK, Denmark), as it gave both flame condition and the position of the flame together with a large number of diagnostic parameters.
