Show CURRENTLY REGULATED PRODUCTS OF COMBUSTION • CO2 emissions are primarily a function of fuel. Limits or regulation may come soon but are not here yet. • S02 emissions are primarily fuel-based, controlled post-combustion. • Air toxics emissions also largely fuel-based and controlled postcombustion. Some PNAs are generated by heavier fuels and may be regulated post-2000. • CO is primarily an issue of efficiency that must be balanced with control of other pollutants, especially NOx• • Particulate emissions mostly determined by fuel today. New, more stringent standard is likely to include nitrate particulates. • NOx is the must significant regulated pollutant that is a function of combustion. |
