One day she was in the garden feeding the canary birds when a very ugly, hateful witch whose name was Rokotonto came by. She looked over the wall and saw Rowena. This old witch was very mean and she said, "Come here little girl and I will give you this beautiful red apple." Rowena ran over and took the apple. Now this was a magic apple and as soon as Rowena tasted it she turned into a canary bird and flew *way with the other birds. One day a prince came to the palace.
