Description Dr. Pantalos was born in Jackson, Michigan in May, 1952. Dr Pantalos received his Bachelor of Science (Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering); Master of Science (Biomedical Engineering) and Doctor of Philosophy (Physiology) from Ohio State University. Dr. Pantalos came University of Utah in 1983 and was officially appointed to the School of Medicine (Department of Surgery) faculty in 1984. Dr. Pantalos is Professor of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Louisville. Dr. Pantalos is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering. Dr. Pantalos research interests include pediatric and adult mechanical circulatory support; ex vivo lung perfusion; medical device development; aerospace physiology and healthcare.
