Description |
Set of letters, 17 from his mother Abigail (1885 to 1896 when she died), 10 from his father (1894 to 1905), one from sister Nettie in 1903, and one from Earl to his family in 1880. These letters reflect the sentiments of parents toward their son. They reported much family news and events around their home in Medford, Minnesota. Abigail and Fernando were concerned about the weather and the change of seasons. They endured many health problems, but remained cheerful. The last letter from Fernando was in 1905. |
