Show NIGHT LETTER A LL NIGHT LETTER M E SSAG E S TAKEN BY THIS C OMPANY A R E SUBJECT TO THE FOLL OWI N G TERMS WHIC H ARE HEREBY AGREE D TO The Western Union Tele"raph Company w ill receive not later than midnight NIG HT LETTERS , to be t ransmitted only for dclivery on the morning of the next ensuing busineRS <lay, at rates still lower than its standard night message rates, ns follows: the standard day rate for ten words shall be t:harged for the transmission of fifty words or less, and one-fifth of such 8lan<lard day rate for ten words shall be charged for each additional ten words or less. To guard against mistakes or delays, t he sender of a message should order it REPEATED, that is, telegraphed back to the originating office for comparison. F or t his, one-half the unrepeated message rnte is charged in addition. Unless otherwise in<lic:1te<l on its face, THIS IS A~ UNREPEATED MESSAGE AND PAID FOR AS SUCH, in consi<leration wbc,reof it is agreed b e tween the sender of the message and this Company as follows: 1. The Company shall not be liable for mistakes or <lda ys in the transmission or delivery , or for non-deiivery, of any UNREPE ATED message, beyond t he amount received for sending t he same; nor for m istakes or delays in the transmission or d elivery, or for non-delivery of any REPEATED message, beyond fifty times the sum received for sending the same, unless specially val ued; nor in any case for dehys arising from unavoidable interruption in the work ing of ib lines; n or f or errors in cipher or obscure niessages. , 2. Messages will be delivered free wit.bin one-half mile of the Company's office in towns or 5,000 population or less, and within one mile of such office in o ther cities or towns. Beyond these lim its the Company does not undertake to make delivery, but will, without liahility, at the sender's request, as his agen t and at his expense, endeavor to con tract for "h im for such delivery at a reasonable price. 5. No responsibility attaches to this Company concerning m essages unt il the same are accepted at one of its trans mitting offices, and if a messa ge is sent to such office b y one of the Company's messengers, h e acts for that purpose as the agent of the sender. 6. The Company will not be liable for damages or statutory pena lties in any case where the cla im la not presented in writing witllin sixty days after the message is filed wit h the Compan:v for t ransmission.
