Show eny others the writer has yet seen There are other Head Hunter groups on the ol1ff walls of Dry Fork Canyon but the entire area where they are found is onlyfew hundred yards in extent end is more to be considered asphase in Puebloan times than asdistinot race of outsiders coming in raiding and capturing the inhabitants of the area And because of the 1limited extent of such glyphs possibly that phase was not of long life There are other Head Huntens but none of more interest than this one One such additionsl group is presented herewith BIG FOT with mace-like war olub This design is onvery light colored rock surface almostwhite so that the figures had to be traced with charcoal to get proper contrast the lettering and figures thereon Digital image 2003 Beckwith Family Al rights reserved |
