The front facade has six openings: a centered door with a small lintel window above and two tall stately windows each side. Upstairs all three openings are doors which open onto the balcony, All openings are headed with a simple unadorned lintel embedded in the stone. The boxed cornice and frieze are plain* The new porch, added by Jack West, Ji%^ in 1970, has simple doric columns carved from solid tree trunks. This, plus most of the balcony woodwork, was taken from another home of the same era. The chimney stacks are concealed from the exterior and extend into the rooms on the interior, The windows mostly have the original glass with its ripples, bubbles, and charming inperfections. Other than the porch, the only addition to the home has been an expansion of the downstairs rear room to a dining room with fireplace, kitchen and bath. m rn n |
