| Description | Dr Berkerle was born in Rivers Edge, New Jersey in 1954. Dr Berkerle earned her B.A from Wells College and Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of Colorado. A recipient of a Danforth Fellowship, Dr Berkerle completed her post-doctoral training at the University of North Carolina in anatomy and cell biology. Dr Berkerle joined the the faculty at the University of Utah as an assistant professor of biology in 1986. Since 2006, Dr Berkerle had served as CEO of the Jon M. Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr Bekerle is Associate Vice President for Cancer Affairs and Distinguished Professor of Biology and Oncological Sciences. |
