Show COLLEGIATE LIFE <br><br> ALUMNI AND PAST STUDENTS <br> One of the most encouraging responses to the sample copies of Collegiate Life, sent to the alumni, came from Theodore D. Martin, ‘05, who is a Senior in Hamilton College, Clinton, N. Y. He congratulates the Collegiate on the growth of school spirit which the first edition of "Collegiate Life" indicates, and wishes us success. We have just received a postal from the Hamilton College Press association, stating that Mr. Martin has been appointed one of the four men to represent his class in the Junior-Senior debate. The college debating team will be chosen from the two teams. <br> Edith Jeffries, ‘10, who is teaching in Bingham, visited us December 15 and 16 and renewed old acquaintances. <br> Orpha Kiser, ‘10, also visited us the last week of school. She came to Salt Lake for the Christmas holidays from Juab, Utah, where she has been teaching. <br> Ned Royle, ‘81, is taking a well earned rest at his country home in Darien, Conn., after dramatizing his latest book, "The Silent Call." The play will shortly be produced in New York. We wish this production all the success which attended "The Squaw Man." <br> Margaret Williamson, ‘07, is a librarian in the Salt Lake Public Library. <br> Le Roy Sweitzer, Collegiate full-back for 1909, played half on the Washington State College football team until he received a broken leg in a game with the University of Idaho. <br> Miss Wade, our quondam English and German teacher, is taking a post graduate course in German at Berkeley, California. <br> C. E. Smith, who attended the late Westminster College from 1907 to 1909, was in the city during the Christmas vacation. He is a Junior in Stanford University, where he is taking an engineering course. He looked as jolly as ever. <br> C. C. Carpenter, who attended C. I. from ‘05 to ‘09, is manager of the La-Turin and Warren tailor shop in this city. <br> Karl Nyman and Ben Thompten, students at Collegiate from ‘06 to ‘10, are Freshmen at the University of Utah.
