The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The thirty-fourth annual exhibition was hosted by the San Diego Watercolor Society at the San Diego Watercolor Society Gallery and Education Center. The Best of Show award winner was Cosi Cominicia IL Giorno by Ted Nuttall, a member of the Arizona Watercolor Society. The Award of Excellence winner was Boats at Eagle Harbor by Carole Hillsbery, a member of the Arizona Watercolor Society. Julie Anderson was the president of the San Diego Watercolor Society. Robert Burridge juried the show and selected 95 paintings out off nearly 1,110 entries. |
