The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The twenty-ninth annual watercolor exhibition was hosted by the Southwestern Watercolor Society at the Irving Arts Center. Dean Mitchell juried the show. The Best of Show award winner was Red Rose by Shahla Dorafshan, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. The David Dale Memorial award winner was Sarasota Opera by Frank Francese, a member of the Colorado Watercolor Society. The president of the Southwestern Watercolor Society was Lesley Talty. |
