Show Nevada Watercolor Society The Nevada Watercolor Society was chartered on August 4, 1969 by the founders for the purpose of sharing their appreciation and delight in watercolor as a medium with their fellow citizens. The charter members included Alice Atkinson, Carol Wilson Blake, Lucile Spire Bruner, Myra Coury daCosta, Laura Belle Kelch, Shirley Oaks, Dorothy Paulsen, Clifford Segerblom, Betty Twers, and Suzanne Zussman Allen. The Nevada Watercolor Society is a nonprofit, educational organization under IRS and Nevada statutes. We try to provide the public opportunities to enjoy and participate in the twodimensional visual arts. The Nevada Watercolor Society has held over forty workshops, fea~ring such notable artists as Frank Webb, Don Andrews, Gerald Brommer, Tom Lynch, Arnie Westerman, Carl Purcell,Judi Betts, Virginia Cobb, Linda Doll, Lorraine Danzo, Zolton Szabo,Jan Kuntz, and many more. We provide a monthly newsletter; and monthly meetings with demonstrations and other programs. We provide teacher support with special projects in the schools, and scholarships for visual arts students in local colleges and universities. We currently have over 200 members in Nevada and surrounding states. A project was created to support this exhibition with volunteer managers covering all aspects of the exhibition and the accompanying Western Federation business meeting.
