Image of Feathered star variation quilt created in 1892 by Harriet Elizabeth Ford Thorley . Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Devona H Griffiths as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. The quilt was made for her wedding. Harriet's husband died of flu not long after they were married. Harriet had a baby but it died at birth. Harriet's mother, Martha Jane Mulliner, was expedcting a baby about that time. She used Harriet's "baby clothes" for "her baby |
