Description Photograph (ca early 1900s) looking along the east-west axis of Sunnyside Avenue. In the distance are the mouths of Red Butte Canyon (left) and Emigration Canyon (right). The U.S. Army Base, Fort Douglas, was located south and east of the University of Utah campus. An Army Reserve Center (Osborne Hall) remains. The land pictured was the base rifle range and is now the University of Utah's Research Park.
