Show M RRILL . KIT H BE : I gu ss you can always look back and see thing that y u could hav d n . MER: I'm worth about a million dollars now. That's with no education. BEC: You've done real well but you've worked very hard your whole life and that' paid off. MER: I've done well. BEC: When did you move here to Murray? MER: Oh, about twenty years ago. BEC: You and your wife? MER: Well, my first wife, we had mother-in-law problems. I told her mother to go home. That broke our marriage up. Then I married Ellen Fellows. She lived here. BEC: Oh, I see. 2 04 MER: When we got married, she came down and lived in Orem for a while but we had estate problems. I didn't put stuff in her name. Really, she could have taken half of it but we got a divorce and she took quite a little money anyway. So we got divorced and I was single and I fixed it up so nobody could take it, wife, kids, or anybody until I die. BEC: How many children do you have? MER: I have four. BEC: Do any of them live around here? MER: No, none of them do. Three are living in Southern California and one lives in Kent, Washington. That's close to Seattle. BEC: Do you get to see them very often? MER: No, maybe once a year. One boy, I maybe see him two or three times a year. My other boy, I see him once every two or three years. I used to go down there for Christmas 21 |
