Abstract Allen D. Tallman (b. 1925) quit school at the age of fifteen and worked in a photo shop until he joined the Navy at the age of seventeen. He was assigned to the battleship Massachusetts, where he worked in the Combat Information Center. He later spent time as a photographer for the Navy. 37 pages.
